Muggers active in Sylhet

Goainghat Police arrested 11 members of an inter-district robber gang along with one pipe-gun, three sharp weapons and three rounds of bullet from Bagher Sarak area in Goainghat upazila on Wednesday evening.
The arrestees were identified as Liton,21, Sumon Malakar,28, Dulal,25, Makhlesur Rahman,28, Shamim,28, Aziz Miah,22, Sujon,26, Lilu Miah,32, Asim Talukder,25, Jobayer,20, and Nependra Das,35.
Officer-in-charge of Goainghat Police Station MA Hye said on a tip-off, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested the 11 while they were taking preparation to commit a robbery at about 7:00 pm.
Later, the law enforcers also recovered one pipe-gun, three sharp weapons and three rounds of bullet from their possession.
The arrestees are the members of an inter-district robber gang, the OC added.
The OC also said the 11 were wanted in several robbery cases with the different police stations in Sylhet
